Some smokers think that it is enough to go smoke outside, but this effort is practically useless if upon entering the home the smoker unknowingly carries in those dangerous chemicals embedded in the clothing, unconsciously affecting the health of their loved ones.
Ceasing to smoke offers immediate benefits. The most obvious is the economic impact, because cigarettes are expensive, but more importantly are the health benefits.
After 48 hours of quitting smoking, the blood pressure began to lowers, alleviating the cardiovascular system and reducing the risk of a heart attack and/or a stroke.
After 2 weeks the ex smoker has began to clean the respiratory system and has expelled the carbon monoxide from the blood; by having more oxygen in the body, the individual begins to feel more energetic and able to complete physical activities such as walking, going up stairs and other physical exercises which previously cost fatigue or a great effort.
After three month the ex smoker now begins to rediscover the taste of food, as the sense of smell becomes more acute, the anxiety syndrome caused by smoking withdrawal is less noticeable each day.
After six month the ex smoker will have considerably reduced the risk of contracting emphysema, cancer of the esophagus, lungs and all the other chronic illnesses which are common amongst tobacco consumer.
